PC wireless card install issues
Hello folks,
I have a pioneer laptop running XP Pro SP2.
I have purchased a WG511T Wireless PC Card.
It installed ok and ran on my home network on a Netgear wireless router WGT624
I recently went from dial up to ADSL and after installing the ADSL set up disk my PC Card showed a code 10 error. Also A miniport appeared in my hardware list which was also disabled.
I removed TCP/6 ?? so I could get rid of the miniport.
Now when I try to reload my PC wireless card the install procedure will not recognize the drivers and the card installs as an unknown Ethernet component.
I have uninstalled –reinstalled the drivers the card and I have disabled and enabled my pci bus controller.
No joy.
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
Cheers
John

Still trying
I have also posted this thread on the netgear forums and so far know from netgear has been able to assist.
This problem also seems to be affecting many laptop users using ADSL.
Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

Hi John
I'm having the same issue with a 3Com Wireless PC Card (3CRWE154G72) and get the error code 10 from device manager, have tried re-installing a number of times, tried 3coms drivers but to no avail, I have a Xircom nic card that works fine in the same slot.
If anyone can help that would be good, oh using Win XP SP2, same card worked when running XP SP1, then did a re-format, and wamo!
Thanks
Kiwiracing

Are these 16bit cards or 32bit cards?
