i'm stuck out in the boonies on dial up and it sucks.(though at least i get 44.6)
we are within range of the switch but the thing is 50 years old and not in line to be replaced for another 5 years.

ouch.... oddly I am in a village in England, but the village had an upgraded exchange... a few miles down the road in town of 90,000 half of them can't get adsl because the exchange is no good...

Well if WiMax is implemented properly, it can really benefit people who live in the outer parts.

I live out in the country and can usually connect at only 24,000 bps. Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I can get all the way up to 26,400. Wow, we're really moving then!
I wouldn't know what to do with broadband. It's all foreign to me.
