Wireless Home Network Printer Sharing
Hello,
I just set up a home wireless network and am attempting to run a shared printer between my laptop and desktop. I have a router running direct to my desktop (to which the printer is connected) and the laptop operating on a wireless adapter card.
Can anyone walk me through the steps to get both computers to print off of the single printer, or have a link to a site that describes how to do so?
Thanks in advance for any assistance, I'm brand new to the networking thing...

You can try here.

If you have WinXP, you can run the "Network Setup" also.
No matter where you go........there you are.

On the desktop, go to the printer properties and select sharing. Click the shared as button and give it a name. On the laptop, go to the add printer wizard, select network printer, and follow the instructions. Things to be aware of: the desktop will need to be on (not on standy) when you want to print from the laptop.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
