Unhappy Inconsistency in PC Bus Driver Structures

    hi,
I recently i updated my windows XP, as new updates were available for it...and since then my laptop is not able to reboot....

when i start it on, It says:

"Windows was not able to start prpoerly because of recent change in software/hardware"

Then it gave me options to boot like:

    1. Safe mode
    2. Safemode networking..ec
    3. Start Windows normally
    4. Last working configuration..

When i select any of these configuration...it tries to boot, and then suddenly the screen turns blue for 1 sec (with a lot of text written on it), and it shuts down...and in that 1 sec, what i was able to read was " Inconsistency in PC Bus Drivers Structures".

Any solutions for this problem? how can i fix this up?

    Regards

Try selecting safe mode and unist***ed those updates. One good thing to load on ur computer next time is "goback" which resolved issues like this very easy

Considering the fact that the error message mentions PC Bus inconsistencies, I would first off go into the Bios and choose "Default Settings" and then try to boot up the pc. Also, give us the name and model number of the laptop please. Lets see if this is a mainboard problem before we start troubleshooting.
Next, if we still have problems, boot with the XP cd and do a repair install.

    btw:
I would not recommend GoBack. Too many issues. Plus, XP has it's own restore feature.
