PC not shutting down
I don't want 2 double post, so if posible a mod can delete the other post I've made within imput devices.
I have a dell Laptop, Latitude C600 850MHz 256MB RAM, using XP. Whenever I selected shutdown or restart, it will say Windows is shutting down, but it would not shut down or restarts. I could hear the harddrive stop like it about to shutdown or restarts but nothing happen. It just sat at the windows screen "Windows is shtutting down".
Also whenever I close the lid and open it back up I'm unable to to resume it from standby, I'll have to power it off and turn it on. I've check in power schemes and the option is set to "go to standby when close lid".
Thanks for any help.

go to device manager under view choose
View hidden devices
If you see anything that looks like NT power management see if it has a red X
If so you could try enabling it?

Hey Ferrit, the only thing I can see within Non-Plug & Play Drivers there is an exclamation on IrDA Protocol

Do you have the lastest BIOS for the C600, I run A23 on one of mine (Win2k), and A22 on my wifes (WinXp).
A23 Bios here
And all the rest here
