Tough one - screwed up WDM audio system can't reinstall sound drivers
Using Windows XP SP2, on a Dell Optiplex (P4) GX260
Okay, I have a stumper here. I went and install a video capture driver called btwincap (http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/). Somehow this driver took out my audio WDM system. I am able to see my Sound Blaster Live under device manager, I have even tried to completely remove and reinstall my Sound Blaster drivers but under Control Panel - Sound and Audio Devices it still says that I have no audio device installed. Thinking that my Sound Blaster drivers might be completely destroyed, I decided to go into my BIOS and turn on my integrated Sound Max audio card, but that didn't work either.
So here I am wilth a screwed up WDM sound system, and I'm not sure where I should start looking. Does anyone know of any logs that I might be able to scour to find the source of my failure? (already checked Event Viewer and there's nothign reporting as wrong). Oh I forgot to mention, my Sound Blaster shows up under device manager and under properties it says the device is working properly.
Let me know if you need any more info
