My boss built a machine for a customer and it has an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard with the latest BIOS 1010 running which they say added support for the Sempron Processors. There is an option my boss and I are arguing about. the CPU External frequency has options from 100-200 Mhz (133 and 166 etc). What exactly does that set. He set it to 200 and the machine didn't want to install windows. I was freaking out cause the cpu temp was 75 C and he doesn't believe me that he was probably overclocking the processor... I usuaully leave those settings alone as long as the processor is being detected properly... what is CPU External Frequency? My understanding it is NOT the same as how we used to have to setup the FSB setting in BIOS....
