I will freely admit it, I was arguing just to argue and got myself in so deep and with so many different problems in my arguements I was laughing at how stupid I was and how seriously everyone was taking me. Had to back out.

While the closed thread did become a flame war, i do believe that many people were being close minded to immedietly flame my (and subsequentally cleetus') approach. As for how do you know you're not infected? i'll periodically run an av scan from trend's website and throw on adaware for a few minutes to see if anything made it in. An like i said before under my current system all i have found is a few cookies, except in the cases where friends have gotten onto my pc and used ie (i really gotta nike the shortcuts to that). And i know it's ie that lets them in because i run the scans right after it.

and as for no firewall, i told you always run behind a router, i just refuse to use software firewalls.


Now as for feeding the troll, i generally think that cleetus is harsh, abrasive and frankly bastardly. He usually, however does have some tidbit of real information burried in there, And since i'm a redneck i just laugh off the bs and enjoy watching people get into flame wars with him.
