Internet/DNS prob
I have just changed webhosts, and am having few probs.
I changed webhosts over 48 hrs ago, yet the dns my end hasnt updated it seems, I keep going to the old cache of the site when everyone is going to the new one that has errors i cant fix because of this. Why is this? I also cant go to certain websites that other people can, for example I havent been able to get to my webhosts site today even tho it works for everyone else, why is this? I have cleared out my cache, history and cookie files.
Thnx

On the not being able to access my webhost, it seems I can access it if I manually type in the url in my borwser, but if I click link to take me there it doesn't work, I don't understand it?

Are you running download software of any kind? I tan into this problem and traced the problem to download accelerator. This program caches urls as well. Deleted cache but it would still look for old cached sites. Reccomended user to uninstall the program and run for a few days (actually two weeks) and the problem has not recurred.
Good luck! Andiol

Do a lookup to see where it's pointing to (your new provider or your old provider).
I use Whois Ultra for this - http://www.analogx.com/contents/down...work/whois.htm but there are several sites that will give you the basic details on a domain free of charge. I tend to use https://secure.ghoulnet.co.uk/ if I'm in a rush.
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up

if it is working for everyone else, it may be an issues on your end.
if your on xp, run nslookup and make sure the host resolves
if it resolves, run ipconfig /flushdns
should then resolve the issue
