    A75 Toshiba dvd rom

    Dvd on the above lap quit seeing the dvd's and the boot dvd. Cd's and r/rw werk kewl. I suspect that the reg has a "rem" statement infront of the executable line fer dvd. I just can't find it on WinXp. The online help guy from Toshiba recommends taking it to a repair place to have the drive swapted for a new one.
    I did remove drive and reinstall. Nadda. I did a roll back, nadda. Anyone?
    Dang, I miss the days when an open code meant you could buy a vic 20 and use it as casette recorder for music also.

    Try cleaning the drive, just go to your favorite music or department store and buy an audio CD player cleaning disc. If the drive has never been cleaned you may need to do so several times.
