Sony Vaio desktop will not start (or boot) or beep
Greetings All!
Im ready to lose my mind. Need advice.
When I try to start my desktop, nothing happens. No beep, no hard drive sound, nothing. Keyboard useless. I thought my HD crashed, so I replaced it. Still nothing. I tried using the Startup recovery CD's, nothing happens. How do I get the autorun to function? The F2 function or any keyboard keys work.
What am I missing?

When you press the power button, does anything happen? Where the power cord plugs into the computer, there is a fan right there, does it spin?? Some power supplies have a rocker switch. Yours may have accidently been turned to the off position. Does the light on your monitor turn green? Or does it stay yellow/orange?

Good Evening All:
RAM is fully inserted, nothing out of the ordinary happened. No power surges, spikes, nothing. The tower case was fully intact and sitting in the slot beside my desk. The night before, I turned it off, the next day I pushed the button and nothing. Usually when I start my PC, the green light flashes, the hard drive grinds and I'm off.
By the way, which green light are we talking about? The light by the button is out, (not flashing) but the green light on the motherboard is on. That's my status.
My monitor also displays this message "This monitor is working, please check the video cable and computer"
