Win XP home upgrade won't boot correctly
Did an install of Windows Xp Home upgrade over a working Win 98 SE.
Install did not go smoothly, had to do it several times before it finally seemed to take.
But when the sytem boots it goes to a logon screen where it asks for a password for the user. Upon giving it I get a window " Logon Message - System can not log you on due to the following error: Specified domain does not exist or could not be contacted"
This happens in safe mode as well and I can not get logged on no matter what I do. Can not get past this message.
Any ideas how to get it to not ask or try a domain type of logon?
