More specifics please. Do you get a boot screen at all? Any error message? Can you get into bios? Make/model of computer?

A boot sector virus infects the boot sector of the hard drive, not the bios. A boot sector virus would allow you to boot from floppy or cd.
You could try resetting the cmos to defaults. There should be a jumper, or you can remove the battery for a few seconds. You could also try swapping the memory for known good. Could be you have bad RAM.
