I said I would, so here it is...
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

why is everyone hung up on the post count anyways? is it really even matter?
i guess the more Posts you have the more "respected" a person is on a board but come on........ really!?!!
i don't care... i don't help anyone in the other areas other than petty advice, so the only posts i will accumulate from now on are when i have computer problems....so so far i have had over 1,000 computer related screwups from which i seek advice in the tech forums....
i don't make any sense.
oh well.
GIVE ME POSTS! OR GIVE ME DEATH!

I think that turning it back on would be good for everyone. Regulars would hang around more, and be able to give help more. There are many more threads that go un-answered now, as opposed to when the post count was on. It will also keep (hopefully) Administrators from giving bad advice,

Seems to me that you should be catering to the people that provide the tech help, not alienate them.

Well, the experiment didn't work the way I thought it was going to, that is, to eliminate lounge posts retroactively not just going forward. The way its working now is meaningless. Turn it back on.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.

It almost brings a tear to my eye...to think trip and I had to bait you into this forum which you dispised so much then, now you are striving to save it..."I love you man"!
Gotta give it to him Richard, it was bad advice telling him to format his drive.

At least the guy is trying to help out. Good thing nobody that posts here has EVER given misleading or uninformed advice. That's the reason I quit helping out in the tech forums. People just sitting around waiting to jump on someone for giving bad advice. Pretty small.
I take it that 'the boss' is freddy's new name?

I'm flip flopping on this issue and now I would like the post count back on please. It's just more gooderly that way.
And on another note,.. I think all political references should be banned from signatures. Either that or signature fonts should not be allowed to be such a big size. For instance,... that big giant "Bush / Cheney" thing above is just an eye sore. I'm normally against banning or censorship type things,.. but that is just annoying and a waste of bandwidth.

Perhaps, as always, it is the "who" not the "anyone", if ya_know what I mean.
BTW: bingo!!!
Hey Mobile, you sound like a real straight shooter.
PS
Hey Dir, how did the service commitment go?
