No Sound
First of all, I'd just like to say hi!
And second of all (I know, there's always a second point :P) I have no sound.
I reformatted my computer and it began to lag massively, then I stopped all programs running at the startup using msconfig, and now the it doesn't recognise the sound card as being there.
I have tried installing the drivers for my soundcard, but when I do it comes up with the message "Data is invalid"...
My soundcard is built into my motherboard and is a SiS 7012 and my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8SIML.

I posted this for someone else a day ago - go into device manager and uninstall your sound card then restart and let XP find it. Drivers are probably corrupt.
