Desktop Icons.

We just bought a new computer. I was rearanging my desktop by deleting some shortcuts that I knew i wasn't going to use, but my Dad was. My probleme is that when I delete them form my desktop they don't remain on anyone else desktop. I don't know what I am doing wrong, on the computer we had before this if I deleted a shortcut on my desktop it would still be there on the others. Can this be fixed?

You're using profiles, so my guess is what you're deleting is stored in the C:\documents and settings\all users\desktop directory.

If you want to just have the dekstop icon in certain profiles, move it out of the above directory, and into c:\documents and settings\user name\desktop directory for whatever user(s) you want to have the icon.
