Unhappy viewing attached pictures in outlook 2003

    hey..

i was using until recently outlook express and i moved to outlook.
in outlook express, when i received mail with pictures, i could see the pictures in the mail body, just scrolling down the mail...(and of course they appeared as attachments)
in outlook however, the pictures are only available as attachments..which is very annoying - i have to open every picture separately...

is there a solution in outlook ?

This may work haven't tried it yet.

but rather to skid-in-sideways, totally worn out, shouting. "Holy sh!t.. what a ride!"

With more research I found this on MS website:
the last line sums it up. sorry.

To protect your privacy from junk e-mail senders, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 is configured by default to block image downloads from the Internet. A blocked image appears as a red X placeholderRed X graphic indicating an image can't be displayed.

    Do one of the following:

ShowShow all blocked images in the message

    * Click the InfoBar (InfoBar: Banner near the top of an open e-mail message, appointment, contact, or task. Tells you if a message has been replied to or forwarded, along with the online status of a contact who is using Instant Messaging, and so on.) at the top of the message, and then click Download Pictures.

    Outlook Bar

    Notes

    * If you want the message to show the images the next time you open the message, save the message.
    * To change the default so that Outlook doesn't block images in all messages, click Change Automatic Download Settings, and then clear the Don't download pictures or other content automatically in HTML e-mail check box.

ShowShow a single blocked image in the message

    1. Right-click the area with the red X placeholder.
    2. On the shortcut menu, click Download Pictures.

Note If you want the message to show the images the next time you open the message, save the message.

HideChange the default so that Outlook doesn't block images in all messages

    1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
    2. Click the Security tab.
    3. Under Download Pictures, click Change Automatic Download Settings.
    4. Clear the Don't download pictures or other content automatically in HTML e-mail check box.

Note In Outlook, picture attachments cannot be displayed in line in a message body the way they can in Outlook Express.
