Welcome to the forums harryfogfish
To play DVD Movies, either use the bundled software for your dvd burner, that can play dvd's.
OR
follow these steps
1] GO to http://mirror.edskes.com/ and Download the Standard K-Lite Codec Pack
2] Install Windows Media Player from here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...0/default.aspx
OR
use this http://www.videolan.org/
Let us know how it goes.

Well I know what that error is for sure - go here & stick your '4007' error in the search box & it produces you a load of links which say things to the effect of 'NO codecs' or 'wrong codecs' for the player ..
Now why this should be happening I don't know at the minute, as what techs pointed you at above (the klite download) usually cures this ..
Try playing your movies via 'media player classic' which you should find installed under the klitepack entry in 'all programs' - will that play them ?

I'm not so sure about 'pins not present' ? .. whenever you get back infront of your machine, try us with any full errors.
& as no doubt someone will ask sooner or later, is this machine 'all patched up' (you've been to windows update) & apparently 'normal' otherwise ?
