    Exclamation User account creation in Windows XP

    Upon setting up a laptop with Windows XP for the first time, during setup you are asked to type in the names of users who will be using the computer for profiles.

    Why can't you use the name "Pamela" ?

    It specifically says that it cannot be "Pamela" ?????

    That most probably because the PC name is Pamela, PC name and user name cannot be the same.

    Other than that, there are a few keywords that cannot be used as user names.
