Console Rec for an eight year old?
Hi all-
My Inlaws are wanting to get my niece an X-box for her birthday. I was thinking the Nintendo game cube might be more kid friendly. I am speaking not only as far as games available but also loading/unloading games (I miss cartridges) and the controllers.
Any opinions - looking at best buy there appears to be enough kid friendly games on both platforms.
FWIW she has GBA and plays mostly movie-themed games (e.g. Scooby doo, shrek, etc)
TIA-
Jeff

My kids have a game cube and the adaptor to play their GBA games on it. It seems to be very good and they like the selection of games. Just my 2 cents.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water.

I have a PS2 at home, and the kids have plenty of options when it comes to games. Enough to satisfy the most demanding kid I would have imagined.
My eldest is only just 7 and has no problem whatsoever using it and loading games. Plays them better than me too!
There's no panic like the panic you momentarily feel when you've got
your hand or head stuck in something
