switching primary video adapter?
Hi, im running windows ME, i hate it i normally wouldnt use it but i need it for something im doing. Now i have a onboard video card, its crap, and i have a 8mb rage PCi, which is crap but is better, now im trying to make it so i can have dual monitor extended. It says the primary must support 256 colors, which the PCI does, but the onboard doesnt, and it wont let me switch the PCI card to the primary, i know thats wut i got to do to get it to work, but im not familur with Windows ME. Cany anyone help?
PS: I know those cards are so bad, i need a crappy computer i have another which is top of the line:
AMD FX 4200+
Radeon x850 256 DDR, SLI
4gigs 600mhz DDR
2x 250 10,000RPM serial HDD
blah blah...

Need specifics on your motherboard. If your board allows an add-in video card, there is usually a setting in the bios controlling it. Even if it does allow it, I doubt you will be able to have both the onboard and the pci active at the same time. I think you will need to get a video card with dual monitor support.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
