thinkpad 600 power on pass ?
Before i start i have had a good read around the forums but the threads were over 2 yrs old so i didnt want to drag them back up.
I have been given two of these laptops which originally came from a well known supermarket, one of which only had a dead cmos batt and once replaced i reset the bios and now works great, the other however had the same problem but i cannot access the bios as it has a power on pass prompt, ive tried removing the cmos batt and also shorting the password pads but to no avail.
Did anyone ever figure out how it could be done (if it could be done) ? i dont think theres a hdd password as i removed the hdd and placed it in the other working laptop and it worked fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
