    Annoying errors in word/outlook

Each time I open outlook or word I get errors about Macros in this template being disabled or the file contains macros with an expired or revoked signature and since I am under high security macros will be disabled.

What can be causing this? I've been living with it for months since it only happens once per session which is every few weeks since I always leave outlook open, but I'd like toget rid of these annoying errors.

    Thanks

Well I dont use macros at all so I dont want to allow whatever macro it's talking about anyway, where could this macro come from and how do I get rid of it?

There are several databases and Excel spreadsheets in my company that have multiple macros in them. Also, tables from Excel can be pasted in Word and other document formats. This is where the source of many of these macros might come from.
Set to "High", simply launching Access 2003 (new, blank) you'll get all sorts of nasty security pop-ups.
In my company, we can't operate with macro security at "high", and at "medium" the users are clicking too many pesky warning windows. So when I build a machine, I always drop the macro security to "Low".
We have many other layers of protection, including firewalls, antivirus, and antispyware, plus WindowsXP SP2's built-in DEP (Data Execution Prevention) which intercepts many potentially harmful types of executions and asks you if it's okay.

There wasn't enough info in your post for anyone to give you a concrete answer as to what you should do. We would need to know where the emails you get are coming from and what type of content you might be opening up in Word. The ultimate decision would have to be made by you (as I made that decision at my place of work with knowledge of our data sources).

All we can do is tell you the location of the settings.
Word: go to Tools, Macro, Security, click "Medium" or "Low"
You might also need to go to the "Trusted Publishers" tab and check the two boxes at the bottom to trust add-ins and VB projects.

Was there ever a version of Adobe Acrobat installed on the system? I have run into this problem before and it was due to some left over files in the Office directory that Adobe installed to all you to create instant PDFs. You may want to check and see if that is the issue. I don't have a link for you at the moment, but I will see if I can find it. Just search on Adobe for Office errors.

That's true. MBatson means Acrobat Pro, as Reader doesn't have the added plugins.
    Look in these locations:
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERPROFILE\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startup
...where USERPROFILE is your personal profile.
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP
...change per the location of your version of Office.
Outlook doesn't get the Adobe plugin, but if you have Word chosen as your email editor, it will trigger the macro pop-up.
Acrobat's plugin for Word is PDFMaker.dot, but any plugin in these folders could trigger the issue.
It could even be a product other than Acrobat.
