    How to update chipset drivers?

I've been having some performance issues with my computer recently.

I contacted the manufacturer for my GFX (Geforce 4 Ti4200) who recommended that I update the card's drivers (didn't help much) and made sure to update my motherboard's driver and bios.

The bios I'm only willing to try if the chipset driver fails.

I've downloaded the correct chipset driver for my board (Giga-byte 7VM333M-RZ) but I am unsure of what to do next.

Do I have to uninstall the previous drivers? If so, how?
Do I just run the .exe while in Windows, or do I have to try making a DOS boot disk or something?

    Thanks in advance.

I dont believe there is a need to remove the old drivers just download the new ones off the page I posted and install them
    http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard...7VM333M-RZ.htm

You can run all of them while in windows. If you want the only thing to watch is that possibly the antivirus is disabled so it doesnt interfere

Instead of installing the chipset drivers on gigabytes site install the latest hyperion 4in1 drivers from via arena:

    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2&Type=1

I would recommend installing the drivers in the following order:
    1: uninstall video card driver
2: using chipset driver install utillity (downloaded from viaarena), uninstall chipset and related drivers
3: Install new chipset and related drivers using install utility (downloaded from viaarena)
4: Install latest video card drivers.

    Good luck!
