NVidia GeForce 2 MX install zapped BIOS Need help
I attempted to install a NVidia GeForce 2 MX 32mb into a Presario 5000 AGP slot and now the video fails to function. I have a Duron Processor P3 800Mhz. The board has a VIA chip set. I have no video and thus no prompts to respond with. Does anyone have any idea what I have done?

Is it yours: http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/compaq/mb/com5000.htm
Are you sure about model numbers?
By installing an external videocard you could disable (automatically in most of cases) on-board video... Also if you didn't unplug power cord before installing videocard, it could destroy the power supply or power voltage regulator on the motherboard, responcible for AGP power... Power is still coming to motherboard's slots (standby voltage), even if you did power shutdown...
Try to clear CMOS (with disconnected power cord!) and see, if it will help...
