How do i install a DVD drive
I recently got a new computer and wanted to take the DVD ROM drive from my old computer and put it in the new 1. The drive is a Samsung DVD master 6E model SD-606.
I am running an AMD athlon XP 2600+, 40 Gb HDD, 768 MB DDR Ram, DVDRW and XP.
Would it be possible to use these 2 drives together and how do i connect them and where would i find the driver software needed.

Welcome to wd forums Lufbradan.
This is quite a common senario & mostly 'easy' to do . However there's quite a few 'ifs' that come into play if it doesn't want to..
You shouldn't need any drivers, windoze does use drivers for cd/dvd work, but they are generic in xp & come 'inside' windows.
Physical fitting is quite easy .. look at something like this this if you haven't done anything like this before & bear in mind electrical safety
