    Windows wont show Blank dvd size But nero will

    Hey Again guys!!!

    Windows wont show Blank dvd size But nero will.Nero Will start to Burn now and gets to about 1% and will stop burning and says burn fail at 16x i even tryed 8x.This is the same burner that iv been tryin to get to Read blank DVDs for a week now.Any ide why its doing this??

    Windows wont show Blank dvd size But nero will.Nero will also start to burn the DVD and then at 1% says burn has failed.This is the lite on 16x-+R -+RW DVD+R Double layer burner iv been tryin to get to read blank DVDs for a week now.well at lest iv got it to pick up that it is a blank DVD now.If you guys can help thanks

    What brand media is this, it could be a result of poor quality media.

    Also check that you have the latest version of Nero http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php

    that error pops up when the unit gets hot, has media it doesn't like or has a firmware issue....
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

    Hello Thanks

    iv aready got the firmware update yesterday after a week of the Burner not working. Iv had 2 burners installed and both stoped working after upgrading to windows xp media 2005.
    From what i get the Lite one that i have can burn both DVD+ and DVD- +RW it wont even read a DVD movie but now sometimes i can stick a DVD- in and it will read as a CD R or will say its a DVD+R and same go's with the DVD +R iv tried all the aspi verson and this one i have now is about as close as iv been able to get it to read DVDs.

    Have the new nero. and im tryin to use DVD +R and DVD- both are memorex the DVD+R is 16x and the DVD-are16x

    Before i installed media 2005 i had put files on both DVD-R and DVD+ the lite on will not read these and if i install the other Burner its called DVDRW1008IM
    it will but still wont read Blank DVDs But will Read a DVD movie so i got one that can do some things and another that wont do hardly anything
