Pioneer A08XL and 109
I have a Pioneer A08XL and Pioneer 109 and Is there a way to get the full 16x read speed out of both of these drivers. I did a speed test with nero and when they both reach 12x in speed it drops to 5x and climbs up again is there some type of hack are something to get the full read 16x out of it.
ps.I updated both firmware andf install the quite utility for A08xl and clicked Performace.

Are you sure you are comparing apples to apples & not to oranges ? You know about CAV vs CLV ? .. manufacturers like to quote what makes things appear best

Both drives have crippled firmware from the factory, if you want hacked firmware for better performance from the drives try this forum: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.ph...&manufactor=25
