    What OCR software do you recommend?

    That's a bit like saying what o/s do you recommend .. need more detail on 'what why when' .. what are you wanting to scan ? How much & how accurate do we need to scan ? (what sources are we getting this from & does the s/w need to work with certain devices or are we just considering files already input) & is this principally 'typed' stuff or handwritten ? What operating system do we need this to run in ? etc
