    sata drives

I just got a new motherboard/cpu/memory setup and I was wondering about the sata drives. If I continue to use my ide hd can I change it to boot from sata or no.... Is sata a problem for win98? Yes I'm still running that for some of the things I'm running. Eventually I plan to multi boot with win2000 and maybe SUSE 9.2pro...... Any ideas welcome

What are the specs? Are you going to install 98 on the sata drives?

It's a sempron 2600+ with an MSI motherboard and ( currently until they replace my rma'd stick ) 256mb DDR 2700 RAM. Everything else at the moment is onboard...... I do plan on adding a DX9 compatible video card at some point but haven't done so yet. Don't remember exact model of motherboard will post that later....I don't know if I will install win98 on sata as I didn't know exactly how they work..... will they boot 98? I would like to put sata's only ( for hd ) in the computer eventually and run 98/2000 and possibly suse9.2pro.

Yes you can boot from the Sata and still use a parallel IDE drive.
