hardware RAID and Linux support...
Any recommendations for a chipset or specific motherboard with RAID suppport that is linux friendly? I've got a friend who needs to replace an aging home fileserver with a rather crotchety RAID card (high point rocket raid I think...).
He doesn't care if it is AMD or intel but doesn't really want bleeding edge or high end, he just wants "point, click, and drool" configuration and RAID 0 + 1 using his existing PATA drives and a relatively recent version of linux.
TIA.
Jeff
