Rumors are swirling that ATI has become a takeover target, with Broadcom, AMD, Intel, and Texas Instruments possibly being interested in snapping up the graphics chip giant:

A mini-rally in ATI Technologies Inc. shares has sparked speculation the computer graphics chip maker could be a takeover candidate. In a research report, Andrew Lee, an analyst with TD Securities, said the potential suitors include Broadcom Corp., Advanced Micro Devices Inc., Intel Corp. and Texas Instruments Inc. Mr. Lee said takeover rumours surfaced last month after ATI issued its third-quarter results and provided "weak" fourth-quarter guidance.

But it would be something if the above mentioned bunch were to take over ATi. Who knows, the Chinese might just have a go too

This one has got to have been doing the rounds for over two years now, I'd suggest those pesky stock analysts decided it was time to re-generate a bit of trading in the stock so a few folks can take profits from earlier purchases, next week the 'they are going bust' rumour will be off again !

Hopefully someone with a decent driver team will buy them..... then I will gladly use their products. Its not the hardware that I dislike, its those damn pesky drivers.
