REGEDIT on XP won't work
I have a Pentium 4 2.66Ghz with 1.5 Gig of ram, running Windows XP Home edition, with Auditgy Sound card and Geforce 6800 GT video card.
Here is the problem, I needed to edit a file in my Registery, but when I type "regedit" at the run screen All that happens is a small black screen pops up and off, but doesn't bring any of my registery up at all.
Anyone help?
Thank you

You could try typing command from the run then type regedit

Check for viruses and spyware... this is classic behaviour of an infected machine.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

true and in most cases you can verify this by trying regedit in safe mode. if it's virus / spyware sometimes regedit will work in safe mode, but not in normal moe

You might try the 32 bit version of Regedit, regedt32.exe
