LOST - Driver Kouwell 588A USB to Ethernet Adapter
I am kind of clueless when it comes to programing and networking and all that. I need some serious help.
First of all I have an older desktop computer. I also have DSL. I have my DSL hooked up through a USB port. Great right!
Well, I decided I wanted a laptop and wanted to go wireless so I bought the new laptop and bought a Netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router.
Fine, so I thought. I get the router at home and ready to hook it up. One problem, no Ethernet on my computer so I am told to buy a USB to Ethernet adapter. I live in a small town and couldn't find one, but was very anxious to get my new system up and running so I finally find a USB to Ethernet adapter. It is a Kouwell 588A. Visit http://www.koutech.com/proddetail.asp?linenumber=124
for more information about the adapter.
Well, I plug it in and my computer cannot locate any drivers. I did receive a CD with it, but my computer can't find them there either.
What do I do????
Any help would be much appreciated!

588a Drivers Click here
I presume windows finds that you have new hardware?
It would be easy to buy a ethernet card and install it for around 20 dollars for the older tower system.

Since its an older desktop I would assume its likely windows 98. In that case you need to load the drivers first before you plug the device in
Drivers are here
http://www.kouwell.com.tw/download2.htm
Another note is that win98 and usb ordinarily likes to have the drivers loaded first.

Thank you Ferrit, but one more question
Thank you so much ferrit. I found the site to install the drivers and yes my OS is Win98. I have the 588A and it says that that it's for OS 98SE/ME so does that mean this won't work with my OS?? On the box, it says it is compatible with Windows 98/2000. Thanks so much for all your help.
