finally able to legally buy alcohol in the U.S.
FINALLY, I'm 21 and able to buy alcohol...
What should I buy first? I help out at a new local Pub (A TRUE Irish Pub, at that, the first one in town) and they're letting me drink free of charge today...even though they shouldn't have known that it was my birthday. I hate celebrations, and I especially don't like to be the center of attention. Anywho, I'm debating on what to buy first...
A Yard of ale? A Vintage wine for storage? Guiness? Beamish? Spaten? JD? a shot? a pint? a keg? I dunno...I think a Poll is in order...yes...
And hence the Poll is created!
My specs: 900 MHz AMD T-Bird, Asus K7M Mobo., 256 MB RAM (two 128 MB Kingston SD PC-100), GeCube Radeon 9200 SE 128mb (drivers were impossible to find...still crashes because of them every now and then...i think its them...), Sound Blaster Live! 5.1, new high-speed USB 2.0 card, dual 60 GB HDD's for the heck of it (NTFS), XP Pro SP 2, Mozilla Firefox ( Spread Firefox!), single-barrel carberator, Saitek P2500 Rumbleforce, (Yes, the system is dated, but it fits my budget!) - Sockhatguy

Well I can't offer much advice there, as I don't drink, but I can wish you a Happy Birthday!

Remember the old adage: Beer then whiskey, mighty risky. Whiskey then beer, never fear!
You might try a nice Scotch Whiskey liquer, Locahnora, instead of the cognac. But whatever you do, have a blast and enjoy yourself!
I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.

I think a bottle of champagne may be a nice idea. You can put it back and wait for your next major victory/accomplishment or perhaps graduation or engagement.
Me personally, I'd probably get some vodka, sugar and lemons. I like lemon drop shots on the rare occasions when I drink.

I always heard it as "Beer than liquor, never sicker. - Liquor than beer, you're in the clear!"

My suggestion is one of each! That way you can determine your favorite!
HP Laptop 6830s with 4 Gbs ram and a 250gb HDD I run Vista business 64bit. But I have some old computers too.

The only thing I would suggest is a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka...the best vodka you can get. As far as beer goes...Yuengling Lager is my personal fav.

I must disagree with you on this point. There is no vodka better than Stolichnaya, particularly if kept in the freezer.

There are three that I prefer any one of them is slightly different but the best of the best. Ketel One, Stolichnaya, and Grey Goose.
Someone recently told me to try Level also.

I haven't tried that...i'll have to now. That would be a good one for my trip to Dauphin Island. Nothing like fishing with a Vodka buzz! Beach fishing that is. I read a survey a while back and Grey Goose was voted #1..of course I can't find it now...that and it's my fav! Who knows after I try ur brand however.
