    Post Apple Laser Printer

    Hallo!
I have an Apple laser printer and an IBM PC.
Do you have any idea what cable I may need to connect between them?

    Thanx!

I would think a standard printer cable will do the trick

How about a few more details, like, model, how old etc!
Never approach a computer saying or even thinking to yourself "I'll just do this quickly...."

It really depends on the Apple printer as to what your needs are.

The Laserwriter 12/640 has a paralel port on it, but the Laserwriter select 360 has a RS-232 serial adaptor on it.

some may only have a local talk port on it which I have never tried to get to work on a PC before

check ApleSpecs printers as to what your needs are.
May the Schwartz be with you

If it is an original Apple LaserWriter... You can get an RS-232 to apple din connector cable. Driver may be trickier. I have a few of the lasers and the cables... and I have connected them before. Good Luck. A company called Burton-Mitchell in Florida used to sell the cables... happy hunting.

Apple drivers are built in to Windows...at least a few are.

I use an Apple LaserWriter IInt on a PC. The drivers are built into windows. you need a serial cable and null modem. You also have to go into device manager and lock the com port at 9600 or it won't print.

    Good Luck
