HP8000 Printer Issue with PDF Files
First off, I am not a printer tech..... so I am easily stumped.
I have 2 identical HP Laserjet 8000DN printers, same amount of memory, same firmware, etc. What happens is on one of them, it will print only partials of some pdf files. Not all pdf files, some print just fine. But some of the pdf files will print parts of the graphic and leave the rest. Send it to the other printer and all is well. Both printers use the same PS driver. Any thoughts on what else I can try?
Thanks

This says that the HP8000 uses the HP PostScript 2 Emulation...not Adobe PostScript 2. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...ectID=bpl07828
Print out a Configuration Page from each printer. Verify that each and every setting is the same. Doublecheck the Memory and Firmware that you stated above. Are both printers pulling paper from the same trays?

Just a thought, do all other documents print the same? This strikes me as a controller problem. If you have an alternate printer available, do documents from the two machines print the same?

Have you tried a PCL driver instead of PS?

Works for me...
I had this problem a bit ago....
The quickest solution for me was to make sure that the printer driver is not using the highest DPI settings possible. Try setting it down to 600 dpi in the default printer settings...
