MS server 03 Slow access
On a Dell Pwr edge 7 series. 4 clients all with XP beginning to slow down. I noticed a lot of people saying 1) Change the settings from Auto or 2) Replace the NIC card. does a 3 year old NIC get slow ???

Yes, its possible NIC cards do go bad sometimes. When you mean slow do you mean that when they are retreiving information from it it taking longer? It could be that the card is going bad or the cable may have come loose it could be a bunch of things, You try and narrow it down step by step, That's the best bet.

Thank you for the response. I didn't think they could get slower over time...they just go bad. I'll do some more investigating !
