Resolved [RESOLVED} Win2k TS printer driver problem

Hi, I'm having a problem with a windows 2000 terminal server when I go to install a 3rd party printer driver. It's an hp1022 and when I go to do the add printer wizard, everything works fine, until I get to the end. I click finish and it starts copying the files, but at the end a box comes up that says "cannot install printer driver, access is denied" and you have to click okay, which takes you back to the APW. I can on the other hand, install any other printer (ones included with windows) without a problem, and I am signed in as administrator. Please, if anyone has any idea how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

What 3rd party printer driver are you using? Have you tried HP's website for your LaserJet 1022?

Looks like the drivers listed are fairly recent. Also, notice the link under Self-Help for Manuals. Several guides are available for download.

TS has some funnies about being in different modes even if you are an admin

I'd try "change user /install" [no quotes] from Run first and try again

Okay....got my answer. It came from a document sent straight from HP. Evidentally the hp1022 driver does not work on TS2000. It said to use the HP 6L driver. Installed that, works beautifully. Gee, never would have thought of that....glad I called HP. Thanks to those that replied! Hope this might help someone else that might have the same problem.
