displaying to a tv
I've got a geforce 5700 256mb agp card. that i hooked to my tv with an s-video cable. but i can only get it to display black and white. but during boot it displays color. i just updated to the latest driver from nvidia and it didn't help. its like once it loads the windows driver it goes to black andwhite. i thought maybe it could be frequency thing but the only choice i have is 60 hertz. has anyone else seen this or know how to fix it. i'm runnin xp pro sp2. 1gb ddr pc3200. 3200+ athlon 64bit. Thanks

..so cable busted is usually the next thing to try, but if you can see colour while its booting, that's not it .. & I'm confus-ed !
.. but it could still be the 'frequency thing' - "the only choice i have is 60 hertz" doesn't sound right to me, I'm sure most tv's are non interlaced @50 mhz, but it depends where you are, I suppose .. Generally an svideo to composite cable sorts that complication out, as
All TV sets support composite video but PAL TVs do not support 60hz through composite UNLESS the TV specifically supports "NTSC" which entails both 60hz and NTSC color system

well i got it working. must of been something wrong with my card. i hooked up another one of my computers that had a geforce ti 4200 in it and it work fine. on a side note i also tried a dvi cable but couldn't get a steady or clear picture on the tv from either of the video cards.
