absolutely no sound with SoundBlaster Live 24 bit

hey guys, i just got a new custom computer with a Soundblaster live 24 bit sound card in it , and for whatever reason i am getting no sound...im pretty sure i installed all the nessecary software and drivers..but still no sound with either headphones or speakers

any input is appreciated

Start with the basics... what colour is the port you plugged the headphones into? What speaker setup do you have?
Have you checked to see if the profile in the liveware matches what you are doing - eg, you have it set to 5.1 sound when using headphones...

What Windows version and service pack level?
