Have you checked to see if there are any switches on your motherboard or on the USB card (I doubt)
Does your bios recognize it?
Do you see it listed as new hardware, and maybe it is not know what type of hardware it is?

There are no switches in the usb card. The motherboard is an old one.
I don't see it listed as new hardware.
How can I check if the bios recognized it?
Thanks

When the machine boots, it should list the various cards and onboard hardware... if you are running 98 press esc when the windows splash screen loads to show it and then hit the pause/break key to stop the boot so you can read it.

Older boards have all kinds of problems with PCI cards. They may have Plug 'N Pray BIOS that don't work too well and perhaps even PCI Bus version-specific hardware problems with your card. Do yourself a favor and replace the machine. Even a computer a year or two old can be had for next to nothing.

I took the ISA sound card off de motherboard, and I changed the pci slot of the usb card.
Then it reconized the pci usb card. I had trouble installing the drivers but i download the last ali drivers (2.0). It worked just fine.
Thanks all for your trouble.
