    Resolved [RESOLVED] HP Compaq Drivers- AHHHHHHHH!!!!####

    Is there anyone out there who knows how to find the right drivers for an HP Compaq d220mt computer? I just wiped the hard drive and can't find the needed drivers for:

    1) sm bus controller
    2) video controller (vga)

    the computer has an ev700 monitor.

    I found all the other drivers, but these, on the HP website.

    I am going nutz- can anyone help?

    What windows was on the machine originally?
    What windows is on it now ?

    operating system info on HP Compaq d220mt

    Windows XP Pro was on before and was replaced with the same (SP1)

    Have you updated the BIOS? Looks like a pretty recent upgrade.

    HP Website Doesn't Seem to Have the Needed Drivers

    The HP Website Drivers for the d220mt is http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/f...te/64_5567.html
    However, it doesn't have the two drivers I need.

    The graphics driver shown is just a patch and there is no mention of
    an SM Bus Controller driver

    The smbus controller is part of the chipset drivers here. The graphic driver on the same page does not appear to be an update.... your page is not found.

    And are you really a farmer in Berkshire?

    Thanks NooNoo, the fix was made by installing the chipset driver. Yes I am a farmer in Berkshire- that is Berkshire County, MA.
