two nvidia cards - problems
Hi Everyone -
I have two nvidia cards - both worked ok
under driver 60's but under 77.x
the system fails.
Is there a way to put the needed driver into a place OTHER
than both of the video cards adding the driver into the
same place???
The problem is this - when i upgrade the driver to the 77.x
series, the video driver is wacked using both video cards at the
same time, but when the PCI video card is removed and reboot is
accomplished - the system works perfectly.
I'm leaning twords the video driver doesn't work right under the
PCI video card.
Now here is the kicker - when the MS shipped driver is installed
the system works fine with both video cards.
so the problem is the 77.x driver doesn't work with both
cards - but they read the same driver.... therefore,
is there a way to place the video driver in a different
sub-directory for each video card???
thanks
tony

Driver Terrier
welcome to Windrivers pithhelmet
That's the second request this week for two like pieces of equipment with the same driver.
My instinct would be to roll back to the previous working drivers (or use the remover in the sticky at the top of the video forum) and then email nvidia to see what they have to say about it.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
