Freezing, light blue screen

Hey guys

I recently bought a new PC and its been running fine, up until a month or two ago - my PC started freezing frequently... strange thing is when my sister turns her PC off it stops freezing.

Today though, something else happened - I got a blank light blue screen just before my login screen popped up, and the next time i booted up, it was a few seconds longer... and every time i boot it stays slightly longer then the last time.

Any idea what the problem might be?

A little info:

My sister's is connected to the network with mine, via wireless router. We connect to the internet via Sentech (wireless radio internet).

I scan for spyware/adware regularly, using Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy.

I was using ZoneAlarm, switched to Sygate, when both still froze, disabled my firewall altogether and found it freezes less often.

I have 3/4 programs loading when Windows starts.

I don't have an up-to-date virus scanner, but I do use PC-Cillin's online HouseCall utility which scans for viruses.

ok, so disable your wireless/ethernet card - does it stop freezing? Does your sister have a mapping to one of your drives? Your connection to the router is wired or wireless?
