ghosting my new hdd
well i have my new HDD, i used my DVD-RW ide cable to connect it to the computer at the same time as my other 2 HDD's, copied my data HDD to the new easily, then i Ghosted my C: to my new HDD (which has the OS on)... but when i replace my old HDD with the new one, and boot up the comp i get this promt:
"non-system disk or disk error; replace and strike any ke when ready"
the new HDD is the master one and set to Primary 0 (the same as my old one) in the bios. Any ideas?

So mmm ... can't get straight in my mind what order you've done what in, but it sounds like you want to be reaching for your system disk, & trying 'fixboot', 'fixmbr' first from console, else a repair install to straighten it out ..

Or redo the drive copy from scratch for the boot drive and make sure the right drive is selected to boot

Am I correct in that you're trying to copy 2 drives onto one? I assuming you have a C drive and a D drive, the C being the system drive and the D being the data drive you are referring to. You said you copied your data drive to the new one first.....explain exatcly what you did and in what order you did it, because it kinda sounds like you did it backwards.
