Phone recording Software

I have a cust who wants the ability to record all his incoming & outgoing phone calls at his house. I've tried to explain the legal issues, but he said "Let him worry about that." So the question is: What do you suggest? He wants to use his voice modem and record the calls to the hard drive to reference at a little date. I've tried both Call Corder and Modem Spy but these either didn't record incoming calls or the recording was just crap. He needs the recording to be automatic in order to record when he is away from the house. Any suggestions?

Tape a littel person in there with a bunch of sticky notes and a pencil. j/k. but like you said there are legal issues so maybe the item of choice was never made for a computer?

It is the Intel(R) 536 Modem chipset based modem

P.S.
I've asked this person a little more about why and he told me that he is fearful that his biz partner and his wife may have something "questionable" going on. He thinks he may be about to loose his business or his wife or both. I told him to contact a PI but he insists on trying to do it this way.

The FCC ID turns up nothing at the FCC...

But Newegg sell it as a cheapie $8.50

OK in theory but there are some things you need to look at

2nd http://www.callcorder.com/sysreq.htm - half way down onwards..

From their advice you would be better off getting a hardware modem such as an old sportster 56k external for this kind of job. Winmodems don't cut it.
