Well, I'm totally new here, so, hello everyone. I'm on some other messege beards so i know the "deal".. Now the prob.. I know I cant use a PCI for my primary moniter, but I am tring to set up a two moniter system, using a Radeon 7000 as secondary moniter. I know its a good card I tested it, but if I put it in a pci my conputer won't boot. Some please be so kind as to help.

OK, what slot did you put it in? If it's the one right next to the agp slot, then chances are it doesn't like it.

In the bios, there should be the facility to boot from PCI instead of AGP - well in standard bioses there is... however you have a vaio with a tailored bios... so it might be missing and therefore you would never be able to boot from pci - it would always go to agp first.

Now can you define won't boot? Nothing happens at all? It starts, but there is nothing on the monitor, but you can hear sounds? It sits there beeping at you in groups of 3 beeps? Or something else?

And welcome to Windrivers leviathon 173

It gets to the welcome screen then the "blue screen of death pos up for about 1 second and it reboots. It is/was in the third slot

you'd have to be a little more specific, but I belive the answer you are looking for is NVIDA GeForce2 integrated graphics unit. Also, this cumpouter does not have a video source/selection/boot anythng at all.

Slot 1, 3 and 5 often share with AGP, try 2 or 4
When you have changed slots, also go into the bios and make a note of the current settings, then set it to defaults or safe configuration - NOT optimum. Then reboot and see.
