I am most curious to know what readers of this intelligent thread actually think?

Do you know I've just discovered that there are 'push me buttons' to WinDrivers Computer Tech Support Forums > Techville > Tech Lounge & Tales - at the bottom of the screen as well as the top. The TIMES I've scrolled up to the top again, sigh !

And I couldn't work out where a large chafing dish of bangers came in? The 'hey ho a'padding I will go' was easy. So as a friend of mine said to someone else in our local coffee house, while we ate dinner, 'you've got a large sausage there'. 'No, I haven't' he said.

And I think this is all designed to keep me from scanning in more of Father's slides .. I must away and worry about my CPU Usage figures...

    "The Sea of Links"

Kenning n. -- a poetic phrase used instead of the simple name of a thing in Old Norse, Old English, and other Germanic poetry.

Link n. -- any of the divisions of a chain of sausages or black puddings. Usu. in pl. Now chiefly dial. LME

Hence....with a fair degree of warped lateral thinking..."a large chafing dish full of bangers."

Talking of lateral thinking, used to do a lot of that as an Old Fashioned Analyst Programmer, all the languages I used have gone with the Ark methinks ..

And talking of a Sea of Links, I would have put more, but my mobile's just told me dinner is ready, including Pilchards ..

Oh gosh, new users? Yes and old users who may have been away a while and seem like new users to those of us who haven't been with Windrivers since the 1800s!

And I sincerely hope the old users realise WOTPP's are Women of the Prehistoric Planet, not to be confused with... er confus-ed ..
