remote control of PC via internet
I have a need to remotely control a PC via the web. I have past experience with PCAnywhere, and it seemed to work OK at the time. I'm also familiar with remotepc.com. Are there any other software packages/services I should consider? Anybody have experiences I can learn from?

VNC is a popular one, also if your running windows XP, remote desktop is a good option.

Have to go with Ferrit and his choice of Radmin. Texas Department of Human Services uses it in preference to PC Anywhere and I have quite a bit of experience with Radmin in clients who receive TDHS funding. PC Anywhere is just too damn buggy.

My company uses VNC for remote administration of clients and Remote Desktops for remote administration of servers. Additionally, I use VNC to connect to my home PCs from work.
VNC is nice as it gives DIRECT control over the PC, plus it has a plethora of options that can change the way it works, the bandwidth it uses, etc. Plus it has the added benefit of freaking users out when they see one of the PCs just starts doing stuff on its own. You can also set VNC to use pretty much whatever port you want it to, as well as configure it to only accept connections from certain IPs/subnets.
I have no experience with either Remote Administrator or PC Anywhere, so I can't comment on them. (Well, I can, but I'd most likely look the fool. )
